A full SOW for Component 1 Section A on these two set products. All areas of the GCSE framework are covered including: media language, media representations and media theory. SAMS and non-SAMS exam style questions are included, including a comparison essay.

A full scheme of work of between 5-7 lessons on Tide for Component 1 Section A and B of the Eduqas A Level Media exam. Lesson cover: media language, representations, audience and look at and break down relevant theories (Van Zoonen, Gerbner, Stuart Hall, David Gauntlett). Also included is an assessment which is a comparison exam question (similar to SAMS so this mark scheme can be used) comparing Tide with a 1950s Quality Street advert.

A detailed range of lessons on Luther and TV crime drama for Eduqas GCSE media studies. These lessons cover the whole Eduqas specification: media language, genre and narrative, representations, industry, audience, contexts and exam practice. This makes use of wider TV crime drama texts and the Eduqas textbook.

A lesson focusing on breaking down Neale’s Genre theory and analysing key sequences from Scream and American Sniper (although any film products could be used). This is a set theory for Eduqas A Level media and this lesson is taught in line with this particular specification, but it is relevant to all study of film!

A two hour lesson which introduces and explores the feminist theory bell hooks. This is a set theory for Eduqas A Level media but relevant to all study of media representations. The lessons focuses on: Time Magazine, Beyonce’s Formation and The Jinx but these could be replaced with any relevant media products.

Approx 6/7 lessons on the set magazine products for Component 2 Section B of A Level Media: codes and conventions, context, media language and representations. These lessons make use of the Eduqas resources and the textbooks. The Eduqas past and SAMS mark schemes can be adapted and used to mark the exam questions included in certain lessons. Can be used as a classroom display or handout/revision aid for students. This is a bank of active verbs for writing about, and analysing, media products and a bank of 'sentence starters' to help students integrate media theory into their analysis of media products. This is aimed at A Level media students and based on the Eduqas theoretical framework and set theories.

A detailed scheme of work on music videos focusing on the set product Vance Joy’s Riptide for A Level Eduqas Media Studies component 1 section A. All elements of the theoretical framework are covered as well as practice exam questions based on SAMS material. This also makes use of the Eduqas A Level Media text book and focuses on the wider music industry and wider products.

A lesson which incorporates peer assessment of a sample exam answer (from a real student) to the Component 2 Section A Eduqas GCSE media studies exam. The lesson breaks down and dissects an example exam question, peer assesses a sample answer and gives students the chance to write their own improved answer. Approx. 1-2 lessons designed to help GCSE or A Level media students understand British politics. This lesson defines what a Political Party is and explores the ideologies of the three main political parties in the UK. This is relevant to the study of newspapers for Eduqas GCSE and A Level Media studies so focuses on ideologies. The final task asks students to create in Instagram page for each of the main political parties which demonstrates the ideology of each party. This lesson is intended to be followed by analysis of the ‘set’ newspapers and analysis of how political ideologies impact these newspapers.

A detailed and comprehensive multi week scheme of work on music videos focusing on Formation for A Level Eduqas Media Studies component 1 section A. All elements of the theoretical framework are covered as well as practice exam questions based on SAMS material.

A range of lessons for Eduqas GCSE Media Studies on MUSIC VIDEOS for Paper 2 Section B covering Michael Jackson 'Black or White. Lessons explore: media language, representations, intertextuality and contexts. Media theory is also explored in some lessons. Also inluded are opportunities for students to plan and answer exam questions in full.
